Perfect location, clean, electic decor,, comfy bed and pillow. Loved it. I love this motel. Bed was so comfortable as were the pillows. Room has an electic decor with vibrant colours and artwork. Room was exceptionally clean. The location is perfect for a stroll along the main road and close to all activities. I will definitely stay again.

The best little motel in Port Douglas. Owners go out of their way to help meet your needs...which in my case is my favourite room. I've been there that often that I do have a favourite! Walking distance to everything in town, great pool and barbecue area. Love it!

The room was a very decent size, with Couch, table and chairs and a full size fridge along with the essential crockery and cutlery. There were cooking facilities down near the Pool area, laundry and clothes line. Parking was always available. A neat home away from home. Bernie was super helpful on the reception desk.

Fantastic, friendly hotel centrally located in Port Douglas! This hotel is delightful, spacious and vibrantly decorated retro style. As well as a kitchenette in the room, there is a communal kitchen and a pool area where you can relax. Friendly staff and very easy walking distance to the harbour and town centre.

Felt like we were in an Elvis beach movie!! Loved it If like me you don’t want to stay in a generic hotel room that could be anywhere in the world, you will love this unique motel. Has the vibe of a 1950s Hollywood beach movie setting, with large bright rooms, colorful decor, solid and comfortable furnishings. The well appointed poolside kitchen and barbecue, as well as the laundry, makes this a great stop on a long holiday. The folks that run the place are super friendly and helpful; we felt very welcome.

What a great location!! Large rooms, clean, friendly and helpful staff who loaned us beach towels for our reef snorkeling trip. We liked the funky furnishings and decorations. The outdoor dining area was useful at times for having takeout when we couldn’t get a dining reservation.

Great stay in Port Douglas 😃 Not your usual motel! Port Douglas Motel is very well situated, close to the shops and the beach. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and cosy. In addition, it was spotless clean, which is not necessarily the case in all hotels/motels. It's actually a motel that invites you to stay! The staff is very welcoming and available. If I'm ever back in Port Douglas, I would definitely choose this motel.

Best motel experience This is a great motel to stay in. Spacious, clean, good kitchenette, good outdoor BBQ and kitchen. The maybe 1950s theme is delightful. Walking distance to marina, supermarket, shops and food outlets. Jenny is friendly and very helpful. probably the best motel stay we have ever enjoyed.

Great motel, great location Loved my room as soon as I walked in, exactly as the photos show, well presented, fun decor, clean and had everything I needed for my 5 day stay. I also loved the location, so close to the beach and so close to the town strip where all the shops, cafes and restaurants are. In other words everything is walkable. I’m not a big resort person so this retro motel was perfect for me and I’ll be staying there on my next visit without any doubt.

Perfect! An excellent stay! The Port Douglas Motel is in a perfect location, just a short walk away from the main hub in town, and also easily walkable to the marina. I was so impressed with the spacious room, which had a gorgeously unique character that matched the motel’s quirky tropical vibe. I loved it! The room was really well kitted out, with plenty of amenities - I could’ve easily stayed a lot longer than the four nights I booked for. It was a bonus to have a private outdoor area to hang out towels/swimwear, and the motel-provided beach towel was appreciated. Not only were the facilities great (the saltwater pool was stunning, and I was lucky enough to have a room next to it!), the staff were also amazing. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating, and keen to give me tips on the local area. I am so happy that I found this underrated gem of a place in Port Douglas (for a decent price as well) - thank you so so much :)

Best value & cleanest accommodation in Port! We didn't want to splash out $300+ for an overnight stay which is typical in this tourist town, so we were pleasantly surprised to find this little gem at a very reasonable tarrif! The Port Douglas Motel is spotlessly clean, bright & very comfortable, and our room was surprisingly spacious with a sofa and dining table. It's in a great location for easy walking to the shops, restaurants and beach, and our room was super quiet at night time ensuring we had a restful sleep.

Never have I ever stayed at a hotel with such amazing hospitality and friendly staff. My girlfriend and I were originally going to stay one night there. After realising the incredible prices and the great conditions of rooms, shared areas and location we decided to extend our stay for another 2 nights and Jenny was great at accomodating this for us.Moreover, during our checkout we realised it would be hard to find an Uber to go back to Cairns and both Jenny and Lucila offered their help and arranged a shuttle for us in just a couple of minutes.I work in the hospitality industry myself and this is probably the best experience I have ever seen and received. I highly recommend this place and will definitely stay here again when I go back to Port Douglas!Thanks a lot guys for making this experience unforgettable ❤️- Fernando & Rinka
